2014 was a year of few Lolita coordinates sadly. But, the dresses that I did sew, I love. And the coordinates I managed to wear made I feel like a princess again. How about we travel backwards through time…
Gotta love the red! I wore this just after Christmas and didn’t want to look to much like Mrs. Claus, so I paired it with black for a more punky feel, but maybe this year I’ll pull it out for a sweet, spring look!
This jsk continues to change. I have adjusted the neckline several times, trying to get just the right shape, but I love the fabric and skirt shape too much to let the neckline be “meh”. I’ll get it right one of these times.
Although I didn’t get a good full coordinate shot of this outfit, this dress remains at the top of my “Wow, I made that?” list. The fabric was so beautiful and I really love how the shirring in the back turned out. That black blouse is so useful, it keeps showing up in all my coordinates!
So this Baby skirt feels so short for Lolita every time I wear it, so I tend to dress it down to a cute casual coord like this one. However, I love putting that bunny bag and that jacket with it every single time! They are too perfect for this skirt!
And that would be all of the highlights, and possibly the majority of the times I wore Lolita in 2014. BUT! 2015 is a game-changer. I have time to get sewing for myself again now that Christmas commissions are all done and my cosplay commissions are more spread out. Plus, my husband made me a deal: if I wear Lolita 5 times before summer, he’ll give me $100 to spend on Lolita. If I don’t, then I have to pack it up so we have another closet to utilize. Eep! I had better get wearing Lolita and soon!
Still, I’m excited to see what this year holds and to see how my style will change and develop ❤
